it’s my place but i have another place that’s my place when i’m there … these were taken at a little cottage we have along the shoreline of Lake Huron one of the five great lakes surrounding michigan. remember, from when i wrote the story about the crane? where i had all my boyhood memories that i love to write about. ”they” say we have a spiritual place on the planet … this is my spiritual place on the planet … in upper michigan along the shoreline of the lake in the pine forests where for thousands of years the huron and other indian tribes lived taking an abundance of fish from the great lake living off of deer and pheasant. this great lake is alive .. everything around me is alive … it’s so apparent that it all has awareness … it’s all connected and it’s so obvious when I’m here. you can hear the trees talk and we’re on a migration path for birds flying south or north for summer or winter and they stop over … at the very place i roamed through the woods as a kid … . our cottage has pine walls and it’s small with a fireplace and insulated really well so it never gets cold even during the fiercest storms … it’s being a field mouse like living inside of a tree during the winter which … if you’ll go onto the computer and look under Beatrix Potter illustrations you’ll find a picture of two mice inside of a tree with the snow outside showing through a little window in the door … this picture made a tremendous impression on me as a kid … and when i’m here i feel exactly like i did when i looked at that picture when i was a kid … next week i have to go back to florida. it’s warm and nice with palm trees but … it’s not the same. did you want the long or short version of this … ? this is the short version … thanks for reposting! i’m assuming these pictures are a LOT lot different than where you are …. ks

I would also like the long version. Yes these pictures are very different from here. I loved Beatrix Potter also. I was living in England then. I must post some more photos from about here – it is just that they seem so usual after so long.
It’s a thought – Spiritual Homes I mean, can’t say that I have one though my wife does. Yes, just lately I have loved to look at pictures of snow. I would only need to travel 4 hours by train, in the winter, to find some in the mountains but have no other reason to make such an uncomfortable journey.

no other reason than what? take a couple bottles of fizzy pop and some salami sandwiches with chips … food on trains is lousy and so expensive. make a day of it. take along a thermal blanket and have a picnic … maybe a can of sterno to keep warm. sounds like a blast … where perchance would this be? I love trains … i grew up with steam engines in the railroad center of michigan.

It is in Lithgow in the Blue Mountains near Sydney NSW Australia. No restaurants on these trains they are diesel and came out of the Ark. Steam trains would add some romance. The main preventer is that my wife is in a wheelchair and there is no inside seating space for the wheelchair bound passenger so we travel in the baggage car which makes for an arduous trip – with me usually sitting on the floor. It’s something we do only under pressure.

I’d say the Blue Mountains are EASILY as comparable to the Grand Canyon if not more majestic and magnificent in some or many respects … if one wants to make comparisons … which let’s not … let’s just say that both spots are so incredibly beautiful that they could steal your breath away within a heartbeat .. awesome …. those three rock formations seem to be a favorite … kind of reminds me of Macuh Piccu …. which i was fortunate to have seen … ‘ya got some cool stuff down there over there down under there mate … ks

Hi Kurt, no not offended, my wife’s name is Jessica and I can’t see her in the role but I was chuckling away at the endless possibilities of Peters, and I am reading along with those two for any definite signs of docking with the Mother ship

docking with the mother ship?! hahaha ….. wull …. maybe if i turn this into an exchange on the starship Enterprise we could see a lot of docking.

I’ve heard that a lot of those space pods have a hard time getting it straight into docking position for a smooth dock. Some of the ‘dockers’ have all but run out of gas and have to wait outside until they can be refueled. While others come in too fast and screw things up completely.

As far as Nick and Jessica traveling into the inner reaches of outer space. so far they have a platonic relationship but at some time in the future that may change.

        thanks for your comment.
